TarTara Pica Steinnerd Talley, Esquire

Super Lawyers Magazine has named Tara a Rising Star in Family Law for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.  Tara has also been “Named 10 Best Under 40” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys for 2016, 2017 and 2018.  Tara is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Tara received her Juris Doctor from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. While attending law school, Tara worked as a Law Clerk for the National Law Center for Children and Families, and as a Clerk for the Hon. Odessa Vincent in the D.C. Superior Court. Tara also participated in the D.C. Law Students In Court program, where she represented criminal offenders in the D.C. Superior Court system as a third-year student attorney. Tara was also a member of Catholic University’s National Moot Court Team in Constitutional Law.

After attending law school in Washington, D.C., Tara joined a family law firm that specialized in LGBT family law. This firm’s practice was located in Maryland, and provided Tara with meaningful experience in all three jurisdictions of the Washington Metropolitan area.

Tara is a native Texan, and received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. She remains an enthusiastic college football fan. Tara lives in Arlington, Virginia, and has office locations in Arlington, Tysons Corner, Alexandria and Reston, Virginia.

Tara is a member of the National LGBT Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, the Northern Virginia Women Attorneys Association, the Family Law Section of the Fairfax Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Montgomery County, Maryland Bar Association, the Prince George’s County, and the Maryland Bar Association.
